So, I've got these giant sideburns that are really bushy, and come down past my ears, almost as far as my chin. Here in the UK we call them mutton chops or lamb chops. I love them, so I don't want to get rid of them, but they are too bushy.

What's the best way to trim them down/tidy them up without an electric shaver/trimmer, and without making a total mess of it?

Have somebody who may help you? I am a hairstylist, and I say... do like the barbers would. Take a comb, and have it held about a 1/4-1/2 inch from your face using the base of the comb (underside without the teeth) as your guide, as this part will remain against your face, while the tooth side is being held at an angle away from your face, as long as you want the hair to be. And cut away... Just be careful, that your partner has a steady hand. This is SOOOO simple, and you can do it..... Good luck
