Its not only girls that run away from it!The fact is that lots of people dont want to have a confrontation about their feelings.I for one always try to take corrective action before deciding to break up,but if the other person is not willing to make things work,then i would throw in the towel.Lots of relationships fail because of mis-communication and its actually sad...

Pride! People don't want to admit that they might be wrong. People are also selfish and lazy. Folk just want what they want and don't consider the other person as much as they ought to. They are too lazy to go that extra step to either get counseling or try to talk things out civilized. That's most people, not all people.

mainly it happens that during such cases gays and gals are not ready with any stage to understand each other feelings. Things are gone to such extent that there is only possibility remains for breakage.
If both persons are understandable then only something better can happen , otherwise it is not poss

You are mature and sensitive. Most are not like you, you are fairly unique.
They were not taught to compromise, to analyze and resolve problems. They've had poor role models - they are behaving in a way they have seen. Pity, isn't it?

how long do you suggest people try? Doesn't work when one want's to fix and the other want's to ignore.

It depends what happen in that relationship...
few days back, something like this happend to me, i found that my g/f was being unfaithful, but i told her and she realise her mistake, and we've been moving on like we used to..
so it depends...
