Going to America soon & was wondering how the hand luggage restrictions work...

I am taking my Kodak Easyshare & printing dock ( the printer charges my battery so will save me a fortune. I am want to take it onboard with me, for safety reasons. My mother got her camera stolen from an airport once.

Because of the new regulations, does this mean i will have to put my camera & accessories ( ink, paper, cables) through with my baggage and not hand luggage?

Thank you very much for any replies.

There are not restrictions stating that personal video/photography equipment are not allow in the cabin. You are safe to take these items in the cabin with you and are even permitted to use your camera onboard above 10,000 ft on most carriers. To avoid stolen property you may always request to watch TSA search through your luggage and after they search request to lock your bags, providing your own lock of course.

You should be fine as long as it all fits in your carry on. They have relaxed restrictions quite a bit.

One thing you might want to watch, though; I flew from Edinburgh to the states in October. At that time when you went through the initial baggage screening you could only take on bag through. I had to take a hat and jacket out of my carry on and put my purse inside it. One of my companions had to stuff everything she had in a big shopping bag. From what I understand, it was this way all over the UK. If you are from there you might want to check on that. I would have been SOL if I hadnt been able to make room for my purse!

Have a great trip! I hope you enjoy America.

You should be OK as the restrictions are becoming easier now. Provided all you hand luggage fits into one bag (including your handbag/purse) you'll be OK

i had a pentax, then broke it, and decrease back it for the m753 in copper ;D. i do no longer understand plenty with regard to the c713, however the m753 is a actual super digicam in case you in basic terms desire something actual uncomplicated and handy. it takes pictures, video clips, and has this marvelous function the place you may undelete a image you by danger desire. I took it decrease back for yet another pentax, however, via volume of noise on pictures (yet you may edit them out applying something like Paint save professional), and because i needed a greater effective digicam. i could completely advise it however, enormously via fact the day i've got been given my present day pentax, i by danger deleted all 500 pictures on it, yet i couldnt get them decrease back.!!

good question but you might want to remember if you are in the UK the dock wont be able to plug into the u.s. style sockets, so you might want to purchase an adaptor.

Hope you thought of that, I am english and live in the states and my family STILL doesnt get it......they bring their mobile phone chargers and everything!.

oh well good luck anyway!.
