I got me some Chinese takeout ( Sesame chicken & fried rice ) and only ate a little of it and then put in the fridge. 24 hours later I reheated the whole thing but only ate half and again returned it to the fridge. Will it be ok to reheat what's left a third time?

Only once is safe. After that, the food has been in the temperature range that bacteria can grow in too often and too long.

Next time, just take a smaller portion to reheat...and if you are hungry for more, then repeat. Anyway, I only reheat my food once and out to the garbage it goes. I don't think it would hurt to reheat once more. But it may depend on the texture and flavor. Just try it. n

The general guidelines are to reheat food only once but I'm sure most of us have done it more on occasion.
