Issiah7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Mat:21-23 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
This is important for us because Hebrew is the key to becoming more authentically Biblical. In Hebrew, the phrase,"and she shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins," is actually a play on words. "…and she shall call His name Yeshua for He will yoshea His people…(Matt.1:21). Both are derived from the root "yesha", to save. So Yeshua means savior, the implications of which are astounding.

Muslims only follow what quran said, but they will say they believe jesus, but it is not the jesus mentioned in bible, neither his teachings in bible. but they follow what is in quran. in quran there is no much about jesus teachings. in fact, it is mostly story, focusing on bashing on christians. seriously, in quran it mentions how he says to christian do not worship me, but I m just slave of God and messenger. that's all. but it does not say what is his teachings, what happened to him during life. nothing. they believe too in Isaiah, but who is Isaiah according to quran? nothing much more than a good person. quran tell almost nothing .

They say they believe in all prophets, well, there are many other religions other than christianity and Islam, like Mormons which considered a sect from christianity, they believe they have prophet, why can't muslims believe in him.. but yet, they insist on saying "we believe in all prophets". you have to add "that Islam tell about".

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his NAME Immanuel. (KJV Isaiah 7:14)

What are you saying here his NAME will me Immanuel, meaning with God (I think). This leaves a problem, firstly Jesus was not NAMED Immanuel.

Second, some Christians say that Immanuel means with God and that this proves that he was part of the trinity, NO! The verse says:

call his NAME Immanuel.

Not

he is Immanuel (with God).

If you read the synoptic Gospels horizontaly you can see how much each gospel differs on the same event; Mark lifts Jesus from being a Prophet to something more, Luke and Matthew even more and John takes it even further.

Here is a link for you to do that:

If you want to look at a play on words, lets take a look:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD (John 1:1)

The word for God here is Theou meaning "God's" so "THE WORD WAS GOD'S" but Theou was corrupted into Theos meaning God. That is a play one words!

'And I come fulfilling that which is before me, namely, the Torah; and to allow you some of that which was forbidden unto you, and I come to you with a Sign from your Lord; so fear Allah and obey me;'

And the Jews say, 'The Christians stand on nothing' and the Christians say, 'The Jews stand on nothing;' while they both read the same book. Even thus said those, who had no knowledge, like what they say. But Allah shall judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they disagree.

And the Jews say, 'Ezra (Isaiah) is the son of Allah,' and the Christians say, 'the Messiah is the son of Allah;' that is what they say with their mouths. They only imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before them. Allah's curse be on them! How they are turned away.

Surely, We sent down the Torah wherein was guidance and light. By it did the Prophets, who were obedient to US, judge for the Jews, as did the godly people and those learned in the Law, because they were required to preserve the Book of Allah, and because they were guardians over it. Therefore fear not men but fear ME; and barter not My signs for a paltry price. And whoso judges not by that which Allah has sent down, these it is who are the disbelievers.

As to those who believe, and the Jews and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Magians and the idolaters; verily, Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Surely, Allah watches over all things.

Surely, those who believe and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds, shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.
