I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to so my answer has to be a bit vague! All religions are catered for in the NHS, if you're having an operation you can put down your religion on a form so if something happens (!) a representative of your faith can be there for you. Different local churches in my area (and i'm sure synagogues, temples etc in more multi-cultural areas where there's a need for them) make regular visits too to the hospital. There are also chapels which anyone can go to to contemplate things.

So there is clearly nothing wrong with providing faith services to muslims or in fact any religion in hospital - it is unobtrusive to those who do not wish to take advantages of these services and provides comfort to those who wish.

If on the other hand you're arguing that extreme muslim/christian/any religious views adversely and unduly affect hospital medical policies, well i would obviously disagree with that, but i don't think that such a thing is happening anyway.

I think the proposals you're thinking of were:

That doctors should be more aware of which medicines may contain ingredients which would contravene Muslim dietary requirements and,

The possible problems that Muslims taking medicine may face during periods of fasting.

So the issues raised were primarily health related.

I personally support some of this. As a vegetarian I wouldn't want to take capsules made from animal gelatine since I exclude this in my diet from choice. So I can understand why Muslims don't want pork gelatine in their medication.

And yet it was the Muslim ruler who sent his own physician to tend the leader of the crusades who were there as enemies fighting the Muslims. As for you, ex-muslim...well, assuming you ain't a Zionist, you'll get brownies from the likes of Ohud and Bush and other mass murders...

ok. first and maximum recommendations-blowing i don't believe of you should tar ALL muslims with the same brush. secondly, are they for freaking genuine?! many drugs comprise alcohol for surely medicinal causes! its not like it receives you inebriated! and besides, they are actually visitors in our u . s . a ., as i might want to be if i went to india or pakistaan or any jap u . s . a .- i'd not roll up and initiate stressful all of them devour fish on fridays in hospitals and what-not, its called appreciate. its also disgusting that no human being dares offend the muslims, yet christianity is insulted on a daily basis. you shouldn't offend any faith. back, appreciate. and its also incorrect that a lot of human beings imagine racism purely works one way, ie whites being racist to blacks and asians. not real, we've 'honky' and 'cracka' and the asian 'gori' i imagine those are basically as offensive as 'n!gg3r' or 'paki' yet obviously my perspectives are literally not shared with information from many, the actual incontrovertible fact that they use so called 'effectual' discrimination contained in the police rigidity is an get mutually (ie giving ethnic minorities priority over whites.) truthfully the job ought to flow to the perfect qualified human being, in spite of race? if i had an coincidence and had flow to hospital and the perfect doctor basically surpassed off to be asian, i'd not kick up a fuss! why ought to or not it is any distinct everywhere else for the different race? thirdly, countless muslims do not consider this cutting-edge problem of a minority of muslims exploiting laptop-smooth center england to get their own way. One muslim lady wrote to whinge in metro about the laptop brigade attempting to restrict christmas contained in the workplace, saying she hasn't ever customary a muslim indignant with information from it and this undesirable representation with information from center class do gooders changed into both uneccessary and generating ill-feeling in direction of muslims. i imagine her voice represented many.

They should'nt all it will do is make life harder for the nurse who is giving the drugs to them because he/she will have to go around finding answers to the muslim patient question "does it contain gelatin"!

And that will leave less time for the care of the non muslim patient!
