That's a very good question. (not as to who I would pray too seeing as I'm a Christian) Some people do break under pressure and start calling out to things they don't understand/believe in, when they are terrified. The problem is, that generally when it gets to that point and your life is threatened you have one of two choices, get things right with God in 2 seconds (is that even possible?), or be defiant and get yourself shot and be an unknown situation...."where will I go"...."is death permanant?"....."do I just cease to exist?" Maybe more people should ask questions like this. Questions like this require creative thought.

You really don't get it, do you? People who don't believe in god don't pray! If someone pointed a gun to my head I wouldn't pray or think about god, I'd think about how I could get out of this situation alive.

If they truely didn't believe in a God, or more specifically the Christian God, they wouldn't pray. What would be the point?

I'm really surprised at the arrogance of Christians sometimes. It's as if they think, underneith it all, everyone is a Christian at heart. It just takes a good swift kick in the pants for them to realize thier faith in God.

No one... praying doesn't do anything. It doesn't matter if there is a gun to your head or not, you are still just talking to nothing. There is no god.

People used to pray god in danger, but that imaginary god has nothing to do with the One True God. In such cases, they see no providential protection.
God is not any powerful Being for us to pray in danger, but He is the Creator and Sustainer of all worlds. His Divine Messengers teach us not only to pray for illumination, but to do His Will for our eternal progress in His immense physical and spiritual realms.

I wouldn't pray. Asking for help wouldn't be my first reaction. Running, or beating the s**t out of that person would be my top priority. You can ask for help from someone who doesn't exist if there's a gun to your head, but I guarantee my chances of survival are greater than yours, by those standards.

Although I'm willing to admit that I probably wouldn't live, if I were presented with that scenario. People with guns are crazy.

I have to agree with others, given that situation I wouldn't wait for some Divine entity to save me but rely upon my own self to try to get myself out of the situation, either by words or by force in needed. I do not believe in harming others but I will not allow someone to harm me or my family and will do what I need to do to defend myself and them.

Blessed Be )O(

I would not pray as facing death would not suddenly compel me believe in god after a lifetime of not believing.

I don't mind other people believing in God, Buddha, pixies and gnomes or whatever makes them happy and I wouldn't expect to be able to shake their faith in any way. Why can't some people recognize that those of us who don't believe can't be shaken either!

Been there, done that. I drive a taxi cab. Didn't pray, I reacted. He got away, but with a limp. She goes on trial in two weeks.
