In Hebrew and in Aramaic, the word for "salvation" is "YESHUA." What is most interesting is that it is all over the Tenakh (OLD TESTAMENT). If you read the Hebrew translations, which is the original texts, you would be astonished by the fact that Jesus's true name, YESHUA, is found within the Jewish texts that proclaimed the coming of the Messiah.

the lord saves - or salvation comes from the lord :
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Yeshua is the Hebraic form of Joshua, as there is technically no "J" in the Hebrew alphabet. Gimel, Zayin, and Tzaddik can all be substituted for J, depending on the pronunciation of the particular "J". Joshua, is I believe Greek in origin, not Hebrew. And no, it does not mean Jesus.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
And verily We gave Moses the Book and caused Messengers to follow in his footsteps after him; and to Jesus, son of Mary, We gave manifest Signs, and strengthened him with the Spirit of Holiness. Will you, then, every time a Messenger comes to you with what you yourselves desire not, behave arrogantly and treat some as liars and slay others?
Say ye, 'We believe in God and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.'
Nor does it befit him that he should bid you to take the angels and the Prophets for lords. What! Would he enjoin you to disbelieve after you have submitted to God.
And remember the time when Allah took a covenant from the people through the Prophets, saying, 'Whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.' And He said, 'Do you agree, and do you accept the responsibility which I lay upon you in this matter?' They said, 'We agree.' He said, 'Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses.'
And whoso obeys Allah and this Messenger shall be among those on whom Allah has bestowed His blessings - the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. And an excellent company are they.
Surely, We have sent revelation to thee, as We sent revelation to Noah and the Prophets after him; and We sent revelation to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and his children and to Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and We gave David a Book.
And remember when Moses said to his people, 'O my people, call to mind Allah's favour upon you when He raised Prophets among you and made you kings, and gave you what He gave not to any other among the peoples;
And We did raise among every people a Messenger with the teaching, 'Worship Allah and shun the Evil one.' Then among them were some whom Allah guided and among them were some who became deserving of ruin. So travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who treated the prophets as liars!
