every year during early summer maybe in late May or early June, my skin itches a lot after sun exposure of more than 5 minutes (Of course I wear my T shirt and jeans, not swimwear). I cannot stay outdoors. The itch will stop if I stay inside for some time. This symptom only lasts a couple of days. Does anyone know why? Thanks a lot!

It may not be pollen allergy. Before 22 I was in China this happened. After 22 I was in USA this continued to happen. :(

I guess you have light skin. Usually uv rays can make your skin tingle or itch like that. I think if you're really light sensitive person the effect will be far worse than itching. Or it might be the heat. Does it itch when you get hot from exercise? You might need just long sleeves and avoid sun. I guess you could go see doctor, but try looking up online to match basic symptoms and see if theres anything you can do to ease the symptoms like what food might help or some natural supplements, vitamins...etc.

Sounds more like an early summer pollen allergy. I would check on the web for pollen counts in your area when it happens and see if that might be it.
It IS possible it is a sun allergy, but honestly the people I know that have it do not suddenly become unallergic after exposure.

I believe China and North American have plants in common.
Since none of the suggestions are working for you, the only thing you can do is to go see a dermatologist. Sorry, but good luck, I have seen many of them and to me they seem like miracle workers for what they can do about my skin allergies LOL

Well i stay in south Africa and we have very sunny days here

i think you get a heat rash....its common here.... heat rush is caused by sweat on your dry skin which causes a irritation.that does not me your dirty everyone sweats.

try this when you go out for a day of sun again ....try and have a bath just before you go out side and put a body cream on and drink alot of water to dehydrate yourself.

Enjoy those sunny days to come
