I just saw the huge rally they had on cnn. Crazy isnt everyone has all these horrible stories about muder to innocent intelligent people. Its very sad and i was ignorant of the fact all this was happening. Maybe we should help spread the word about all this.

I am saddened by some of yalls close mindedness. They said the womans baby was shot one day and it was like the 9th murder in 24 hours. If your familly is murdered and the goverment is allowing it to happen. After all i remeber we pay taxes for things like police dont we. How is the goverment not liable when they own the protection agencys. More should be done down there they are all not crazy black people. There are alot of nice good people there. Who are being murdered out of desperation.

New Orleans has always had a crime problem. Its just that now they want to blame Hurricane Katrina and living in FEMA trailers.
Those same people you saw marching against crime are the very same people who " didn't see anything, didn't hear anything don't know anything " when questioned by the police. Until the people who live in the high crime areas start "giving up" the people they KNOW are doing the killing, nothing will change. Its the same ole "Woe is me, somebody ELSE do something to help me" mentality that is killing their children. How many have to die before they learn? And I live within ninety miles of New Orleans and am very familiar with what goes on in that city.
Anytime you want to know something about New Orleans, log on to NOLA.com and pull up the Times Picayune Newspaper.

Anyone who reads the papers knows that NO has had a murder a day so far this year. Everyone also knows that the only people who have moved back to NO are a few legitimate citizens and a bunch of drug-dealers and gang members. They also know that the justice system in NO has been a revolving door... put one away, let three out. OBVIOUSLY this system isn't going to work. If the morons there hadn't re-elected Ray "Useless" Nagin, something might actually be done about it.

Was that the black population in the chocolate city protesting the murder of other blacks by blacks? Was there no way to tie this to George Bush, oh thats right the election is over for now and there is no need for empty slogan chanting.

I saw this rally too.
Many other states received an influx of Katrina survivors and in some of those places, the Murder rate has increased tremendously. (Little Rock, AR).
Perhaps it is a coincidence, but I don't think so....
No offense NO. I love N.O.

Yeah, lets blame the government for the killings of civilians by civilians. FEMA did not help because why would you help a state that is killing itself... There is a situation there that is serious. It's like dropping more troops into Iraq, why would we do it unless we know it will help.

We cannot risk losing troops. Let it cool down and we will help. If you were starving, why would you steal a TV instead of food?
