Honey, if he really cared then your age would be insignificant to him. Your best bet is to move on and when you're ready, find someone who is worth your time.

Tell him that his family will not mind, todays society is so much more westernised.
Your ONLY ONE YEAR older than him and that is nothing.
i am indian and my brothers wife is 3 1/2 years older than he is, and my family didnt like it at first, but they accpeted it.. and they have been married for 5 years now with two children.
Im sure his family will come around, and if they talk to your family, they will be fine with it!

He really isn't truthful to you, leave him while you are young.
If he is finding excuses now, he is definitely not worth loving him.
