hello...
okay. i was a size 5 forever until about 3 years ago, i started taking antidepressants, and none of them worked, so my doctors kept changing them. all of these meds have a side effect of weight gain. i am now a size 22/24. im completely depressed, and i always feel suicidal, bcause it just hurts looking at myself this way.

i have tried so many diets, like the atkins, southbeach, your average diet, giving up all sweets and snacks and sodas, eating all fruits and veggies...

as for working out, ive tried walking, but im so heavy it hurts my legs. ive gone to curves, tried workouts on tv at home, i got an exercise bike.

nothing has worked. everytime i did these things, id gain more weight. im only 5' tall, so its really obvious. i had my thyroid checked, it is fine. i thought about gastric bypass, but i cannot afford the cosmetic surgeries afterward.

ive also tried some diet pills, leptoprin, hydroxycut, trimspa, none of them worked either.

can someone please help

For weight loss try this:
1. Committment. Don't ever give up... never give up. Don't think of a slip up as failure, just another starting point.
2. Shut your mouth. You don't need to eat all that crap. And its mostly crap isn't it? Most of our problems isn't what we eat... its how much.
3. Get off your butt. You must exercise. Bottom Line: You must burn more calories that you take in.
Eating is a matter of how much you eat... not necessarily what it is. Find a site that will show you serving sizes. When you read labels, those numbers are "per serving" not the whole container. See that picture over there <<<< its my "I lost 80 pounds grin."
Start slow, one step at a time. If you can only walk for 10 minutes thats fine. Start there... then work on a goal for 20 minutes. There are no miracle drugs.. .no magic pills.
There is something that might help you get started, but you can't live on it forever... ask you doctor about Xenical.
If you eat a high-fat meal with Xenical... you learn real fast not to do that again.
Do some research on the Lap-Band proceedure. Its not like Gastric Bypass...its much safer and adjustable.
Good Luck.

I am very sorry you feel suicidal, but remember life is about so much more than how you look. But I think I might have something that will work very well for you. It is a liquid diet system of nutrient rich protein shakes you have instead of a breakfast and dinner each day. Besides having all the calories you need in them, they have all the vitamins and minerals, more than you would get daily anyway. Furthermore, there is a cleanse which you take on certain days. On those days you fast and just drink the cleanse and water. The cleanse is natural and cleans out your bodies impurities accumulated from years of processed food and environmental toxins, which store themselves in fat cells. It also includes natural metabolic accelerators. All these products work together to correct your metabolism and help you lose weight. Please email me back at jdplamenac@yahoo.com. I can tell you more about this product, show you videos, and even set up a phone call with myself and some friends who are on it and seeing results.

Women lose weight slower than men. Don't be discouraged by slow weight loss. It sounds as if you were on the right track.

I'm going through the same thing. I started the south beach diet in September and I've lost around 40lbs. I suggest you see your doctor and maybe a nutitionist. I saw my doctor who then sent me to a nutritionist and she helped me find a diet that fit my body type.

You could always switch anti depressants. There are antidepressants on the market that don't cause weight gain. As a matter of fact some antideps can actually help you lose weight.

The most important thing is don't give up.

trimsqa and hydroxycut are both being sued for their false claims right now but don't look towards pills to loose weight but just a tool to help while your changing your diet AND exercising. I can't recommend any pill because I've tried many and they don't really work so i just take stackers for the boost for my weightlifting. I don't know how your gaining weight from the fruits and veggies though... you do need some lean meats like chicken breast/tenderloin, tuna, egg whites, and fish too for protein.
As far as gaining weight you may just be seeing a difference from the water your drinking at the time. You can also trick your body into flushing access waterweight too by drinking lots of water say 1galon of water a day (throughout the day cuz at one time your body can't absorb it). It makes your body see that its getting ample amounts of water all the time so it releases stored water. EGCG (green tea extract) helps boost metabolism and has other medisinal benifits too. Or you can drink a couple cups of green tea a day just make sure its not a sugary one lipton makes one with a TON of sugar lol Arizona green tea I find tastes the best and has no sugar. It can be hard to find but Target carries it in tins of packs to make 2L at a time.
Try using the exercise bike elevating your heart rate 20-30 min 3-4 times a week. Good luck.

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. To learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. Cleansing was good for me. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

the 'nutellapizza' person who wrote a comment before hand is a complete idiot.

you cant snap out of depression!

im on anti depressants too, and theyve made me gain weight.
it isnt easy for some people to just get up and run.

i hate people who are so selfish.

anyway after talking about that ignorant person..back to the question, maybe talk to a dietician?
or seek some advice from a doctor?

good luck

You need to remember that all food, whether good or bad for you, is calorie intake. Most processed foods have higher calories than natural, unprocessed food. An apple, before it as been baked is 60 calories. Two apple pie's from mcdonald's is 460 calories.

If you're not hungry for an apple, but hungry for an apple pie, then you know that your eating habits are screwed up!

Dearie, please lose weight NOT hope. There is one U have not tried yet which has NO side effects - Hoodia natural anti-weight herbal supplement that works without changing your normal diet. I bet U'll have cause to rejoice this year after shedding excess weight in the 1st quarter alone.
Best wishes.
