My dog would bite you if you threatened me, what would your cat do to me if I threatened you?

If you would be so kind as to remove your shoes before you threatened me, one of my cats would promptly vomit in it.

The rest would ignore you about the same way that they ignore me.

Cats can be very affectionate i have lived with them all my life. However i have learned that cats only do what is necessary to survive and if that means begging or cuddling up to you to get you to feed them then that's exactly what they will do. You may think that your cat loves you and that you have some deep emotional bond but it's really just puppy love and instincts. Cats don't have that obedience that dogs have. They live more to their own free will. So basically they only look after themselves.

Possibly run away, though we have one cat who might pounce on you.

Cats are not pack animals. They do not have the instinct to follow and support their leaders like dogs do. We can't blame them for how they are made.

Only if the cat adopts you as a friend.

It would in most cases run away or simply stare back at the situation.
