Dear brothers and sisters,

Christians claim that the only way to remove sins is through the blood of
Yeshua, they claim that the Tanak supports their views.

The Christians point to the Tanak and claim it supports their views that
sin is only removed through blood.

Let us have a closer critical look at the Tanak and see if it supports the
Christian views that the only way to be saved is through the blood of Yeshua.

The most commonly used verse from the Tanak by Christians is

Leviticus 17:11;

" For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood
that maketh an atonement for the soul. "

If this was the only verse in the entire Tanak, then it may support their
views but this is only a fraction of the guidelines of removing sins.

The Tanak goes into numerous Different methods of removeing sins and blood
is at the bottom of the list.

For Example the Tanak says you can also remove sins by;

giving charity Exodus 30:15-16 and Numbers 31:50, incense Numbers 16:46-47,
etc...

" The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half
a shekel, when they give an offering unto the Lord , to MAKE AN ATONEMENT
FOR YOUR SOULS . And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of
Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the
congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before
the LORD, to MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS . "( Exodus 30:15-16 )

"We have therefore brought an oblation for the Lord , what every man hath
gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and
tablets, to MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR OUR SOULS before the Lord . " ( Numbers
31:50 )

Furthermore, blood sacrifices were only preformed for unintentional sins
(Leviticus 4:2-3 ,Leviticus 5:15 , and Numbers 15:22-31).

"If a soul commit a trespass, and SIN THROUGH IGNORANCE , in the holy
things of the Lord; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the Lord a
ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of
silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:
"(Leviticus 5:15)

"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall SIN THROUGH
IGNORANCE against any of the commandments of the Lord which ought not to be
done, and shall do against any of them: If the priest that is anointed do
sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin,
which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a
sin offering. "( Leviticus 4:2-3 )

"And if any soul SIN THROUGH IGNORANCE , then he shall bring a she goat of
the first year for a sin offering. And the priest shall make an atonement
for the SOUL THAT SINNETH IGNORANTLY , when he sinneth BY IGNORANCE before
the Lord , to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him." (
Novembers 15:27-28 )

If we take a closer look at the Logic behind Leviticus 17:11, we see that
the Christian opinion that the only way to remove sin is through blood is
even further not supported in the Torah.

For Example, Blood sacrifices would only be available to the rich who can
afford a animal.

Therefore the Blood sacrifices would not be for everyone as Christians suggest.

The Tanak made it clear that blood sacrafices was not the only way to
remove sins becuase it stated that if someone was too poor for a lamb, they
then could offer two turtledoves or two young (Leviticus 5:7)

It even goes further to show that blood was not the only means to salvation
by saying if you couldn't even afford pigeons, then use flour;

"But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then
he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of AN EPHAH OF
FINE FLOUR FOR A SIN OFFERING ; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall
he put any frankincense thereon: FOR IT IS A SIN OFFERING ." (Leviticus 5:11)

Since flour could be used for a sin offering, it is clear that blood was
not the only way to forgive sins.

The Christian claim that only blood sacrifices can forgive sins contradicts
the Tanak.

Throughout the Tanak, it states that everyone is responsible for their own
sins;

"But everyone will die for his own sin; each man who eats sour grapes, his
teeth will be set on edge" (Jeremiah 31:30).

"No man can by any means redeem his brother, or give to God a ransom for
him" (Psalms 49:7).

"So you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for blood pollutes the
land and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed
on it, except by the blood of him who has shed it!" (Numbers 35:33).

"The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the
father's iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's
iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the
wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself" (Ezekiel 18:20).

"Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to
death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin"
(Deuteronomy 24:16, II Kings 14:6).

Therefore the Death of Yeshua for everyone's sins is not supported by the
Tanak.

I see you've only mentioned the Old Testament. Jesus Christ did die for our sins and it's only through Him that we are forgiven.
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Well that's a given considering Jews don't believe in Jesus. Whatever Christian said that the Tanak supports Christian beliefs doesn't know what they're talking about. There's not need to go into great detail about what the Tanak says because any God fearing person knows better.

quoted from above.

"The most commonly used verse from the Tanak by Christians is

Leviticus 17:11;

" For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you

that maketh an atonement for the soul. "

If this was the only verse in the entire Tanak, then it may support their
views but this is only a fraction of the guidelines of removing sins."

Here they are not talking about Jesus, they are talking about the burnt sacrifices that were required before Jesus died on the cross. The only thing that can remove sins according to Christians is the blood of Jesus Christ. Seeing as Jews don't believe in Jesus, the Tanak and Christian beliefs is hardly a relevant subject.

nicely obviously the answer isn't Jesus Christ. A Jew asks the question and also you reply like this? How offensive are you able to get! i do not anticipate any better from the fundies who lurk round R&S yet somewhat, do a touch ideal study. this particular passage changed into not even considered as a prophecy of the crucifixion till truly later than the recent testomony era. The Gospel writers were a lot keener on Psalm 22, which impacts numerous information contained in the way the pastime tale is informed. it is exciting that in case you study Isaiah fifty 3 in a ideal translation, different information do not in good structure Jesus' lack of existence besides; contained in the KJV they are tweaked so as that this isn't obvious. One out of many clarification why you shouldn't position self belief in the KJV! 2d Isaiah files a gorgeous creative and prescient, one among numerous that take care of a mysterious "servant" who looks in some contexts to be Israel itself, in others a kind of representative and redemptive be certain drawn out of Israel. The context is exile, with a author attempting to make some type of sense of the suffering of his human beings which, truthfully is out of all share to their sins; so the "servant" - and with him the community from which he's drawn - is taken under consideration as suffering for the sins of others, to boot as those of Israel. that's between the great moments contained in the OT at the same time as the Jews are considered as having a ministry to "the countries", to boot as their own particular covenant with God. looking as your question is, i imagine its thrust is defective. the author wouldn't have a particular be certain in recommendations, yet he's speaking about Israel's project to the international, by the icon of his "servant". it truly is however between the most deeply pronounced passages contained in the total of the OT, and once you've an pastime in taking it further i might want to to three study at a good tutorial library.

It all depends what religion you believe in. Not all religions believe in Yeshua and sacrifice. I personally believe in some form of justice, not as simplistic as atonement by sacrifice of blood. I don't know exactly how it works but I will not CLAIM that I do. I just find the judeo-christian view a bit too human. And I don't agree in blind faith. Nor do I believe that the bible is all divine. So the truth is out there for us to find but to claim we have found it will stop our journey.

So what exactly is your question, most Christians I know do not rely on the Tanak as their only source to support the Bible.
Also all are born with original sin this is not the "sin of the father" type deal as might be construed but is as original to us as our skin and blood type. (Which may be the same kind as my Dad's but certainly is my own) Hower thanks for the recognition of the ability of sinning through ignorance (we all sin) and while blood may not be the ONLY sin remover its kinda the only one garunteed to work for everyone (specifically Jesus's blood)
Good luck and God Bless

even in Proverbs 16:6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.

I too am Christian and this is what I believe
NIV Bible
John3:16-18

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son

and therefore

Acts2:38
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

and

Acts3:19
19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Blah blah blah blah, is this a question or a pulpit?

Jesus doesn't REMOVE sins, he PAID our sin DEBT on the cross, meaning He took the penalty for the sins we have committed, so that we might be reconciled to the Father in Heaven.

No, and people who refer to Joshua Bar Joseph as the "Lamb" drive me crazy. He was a Jewish fisherman. Son of God? Sure, just like ALL the rest of us. Divine? No more than you or I. Messiah? No.Was he prophesised? No. ANyone can read a prophesy and follow it so it looks like you are the 'chosen one'. Im sorry, but there are just so many holes in the Christian religion. The New Testament was written by men, after your Jesus died. They amped him up, and as they years went on (Nicean Creed) they were USING him to gain power for themselves. You know what Jesus would say if he were alive today, and knew al the crap that people were doing and saying in his name? He would be sick to his stomach, and apologize.
