In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Then Adam learnt from his Lord certain words of prayer. So He turned towards him with mercy. Surely, He is Oft-Returning with compassion, and is Merciful.

O ye who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard against evil.

And seek help with patience and prayer, and this indeed is hard except for the humble in spirit,

And when My servants ask thee about Me, say 'I am near. I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me. So they should hearken to Me and believe in Me, that they may follow the right way.'

The prescribed fasting is for a fixed number of days, but whoso among you is sick or on a journey, shall fast the same number of other days; and for those who are able to fast only with great difficulty, is an expiation - the feeding of a poor man. And whoso does good of his own accord it is better for him. And fasting is good for you, if you only knew.

I've had God answer many of my prayers. Alot of times the answers arent all that apparent.

One example of a prayer being answered was one I did right before Christmas. I was getting worried that I wouldnt have enough money to buy loved ones Christmas presents so I prayed to God for help. Out of the clear blue I was offered a large sum of overtime from my work. The most that I'd ever been offered. It took care of all my money woes.

So you see...God didnt just make money fall out of the sky. He doesnt work like that. He made it possible for me to earn the money. I couldnt have done it without him.

Fasting is a great way to not lose weight and to become irritable and obnoxious to those around you.

God only answers prayers if you are a Christian, hence the prosperity and success of the Christian countires.

Yes. It's especially good if you are single and have sexual urges. Fast for the day and it will diminsh that desire. Fasting is also a way of humbling yourself, of thanking God for everything you have, and of basically living like a person who can not afford food for the day to increase that thanks. This is why we muslims fast during Ramadan. It's supposed to humble us, but the message of it has gotten lost overseas and they use it as a force.

Yes, prayer and fasting works. Be sure to do like the Bible instructs. No one should know you are fasting, or you will defeat the purpose of your sacrifice.
Don't "toot your own horn," as the Bible says, but let your prayers and your fasting between Him and you, and Him and you alone.

God bless!

Well here's an idea...

Starting now, pray every day to this God character for a million pounds. Eat nothing from this moment on until you get your cash, or you die. Do let me know if it works, because I would have to change my world view and begin praying for the cash.

My bet is that you die within a month and even if God did exist, who wants to worship him if he lets you starve yourself to death for your faith in him?
