Can anybody tell me what is going on. I am diabetic on diet control for more then 15 years and recently taking metformin (850 mg) and Lavostatin for cholesterol. Thank you

Statin , the lavostatin for cholesterols can produce cramps and
pain in any part of the body.

Check with your doctor. Two things that can be done, 1. Stop the statin and if you improved, then it is due to statin. This is done more commonly. 2. Check CPK, BUN and creatinine, that may show abnormalities if there were significant damage to the muscles.
