The question needs answer from two sides namely:The first cause of hatenessness were the current leaders of the world. No leader today calls for unity except triggering their states into war against other sovereign states, this inturn causes hatred among the world citizens including religious sects.Secondly,if you're either a christian or a muslim,God has stated in the Holy Qura'n and the Bible that such evil practices are the signs of the last day ,the day when the world will come to an end.

You mean human species inhabiting the earth!
An approximate answer to that may lie in the genetic structure of both mental and bodily evolution.I think that 13000 years have passed since the last glaciation. Human species were inhabiting the earth for tens of thousands of years prior to that event. They lived as a species community, confined within the possibilities offered by nature.Only after crossing the limits of the possible, after the last glaciation, after the split between body and mind did the transgression begin. The impossibility started after the finding of cosmic infinity. The aformentioned split may have evolved in the impossible-like conditions of survival during the phase of glaciation, in the ice age.It may have evolved something like an unpaired, exceptional odd gene, which is beyoned the structure of double helixed paired genes. The exceptional oddity was projected through animus, the opposite of the anima of the basically paired geneticstructure.Analogically the `split' may have projected binaries like hate/love, war/peace, etc. Myths and epics revolved around such themes. Going by evidence, close to 3000 years ago, it was clearly stated by Heraclitus : `War is the father of all/ some it makes masters, others slave...'

When religion and politics interferes with mankind's basic need to co-exist you get problems that the military is usually called to fix.
Someone wants something that someone else has.
Someone wants to prevent someone else from doing something.
Someone simply doesn't like something about someone else.
They give the order, and off goes the military forces (or someone carrying a bomb, or a hidden missile battery, or a rubber boat filled with explosives, whatever).....
I don't think it is started by 'Hate'...I'd say Jealousy and Envy start it..... but Hate is never far behind is it....
I have left the military out because it typically is the military carrying it out but not driving the issue to begin with.... the military 'coups' you see are when the military striving to get into the political arena.
"A General that wants to Rule"..... in other words becoming a "Politician" by force rather than by votes.

This doesn't sound like a military question to me.
Why is this world filled with hate and not love?
Why is this word filled with war and not peace?
Now, how is that for a better question?
Peace and love.

The three G's: God, Gold, and Glory
Religion:
Multiple groups make absolute truth claims, these claims conflict. However, if the opposing group is correct, you are condemned to burn in hell for eternity. Makes it hard to have peace.
Also, many people spread hate in the name of religion. (Look up Westboro Baptist Church)
Gold:
Self-explainitory. Earth's resources are limited, but human greed is not. People want more than they have, so they fight.
Glory:
Nationalism and Racism. My country is better than yours, my country is the greatest in the world. My race is better than yours, my race is the greatest in the world. These idiotic and naive points of view, like religion, make people unwilling to accept each other.

To be fair, I don't think the world is filled with hate. There is a lot of apathy to world news, and even in the Middle East, there are a lot of people who don't care to form an opinion on the US or the war on terror, though many of them live in fear day to day of muslim militants.

the only reason i have come up with is that it is a lot easier to hate someone. peace takes work, which most people aren't willing to do. that's just what i think.

Man is evil. Man is intentionally throwing down morals as "outdated" and "limiting." The Earth is dominated by humans. That's why.
But we're not the only ones. Animals are also massacring each other. We're all evil, each and every living physical thing.
