It's not etiquette to cook only one sock. If you are going to cook socks it's good etiquette to cook them in pairs, as SOCKS ARE MADE TO SHARE. Please remember this for future reference. Also I would like to point out that when you serve socks they should always be served cold and on a bed of lettuce and rocket, garnished with lemons oranges and a touch of chillie.

Thats a bit forward!
Surely ettiquette states a true gentleman should firstly offer the sampling of a lightly fried shoelace followed by sauted neck tie before going onto the socks.
Really! everyone is in such a rush to get straight to the goodies these days, what ever happened to manners?
