How to Get Rid of Dandruff
Most dandruff is caused by a disorder of the oil-secreting glands known as seborrhea. Read on for various steps you can take to reduce or eliminate this embarrassing condition.
Steps:
Mix 8 tbsp. peanut oil with the juice of half a lemon. Rub the mixture into your hair, leave on for 10 minutes and then wash as usual.
Add 3 drops of tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic, to a small amount of shampoo and then wash your hair.
Rinse your hair with a solution of 1/4 c. vinegar and 1 qt. water.
Use an infusion of the herbs chaparral or thyme as a hair rinse.
Add flaxseed oil, primrose oil or fish oil to your diet.
Use kelp as a seasoning.
Take selenium, vitamin B complex, vitamin E and zinc supplements. Do not exceed 100mg of zinc a day.
Take vitamin C and a bioflavonoid complex.
Add lecithin granules or capsules to your diet.
Make at least 50 percent of your diet raw food.
Avoid or decrease your intake of fried foods, dairy products, sugar, chocolate and nuts.

Some suggestions, here goes.Massage half a cup of olive oil onto the scalp after washing the hair, wrap in a towel for half an hour then wash again. Try adding 1 or 2 cups of rosemary or stinging nettle infusion to rinsing water.Reflexology suggests buff the fingernails for 5 mins daily to ease scalp problems, as the nails are the reflexes for the hair and scalp.Ive not tried any of these, but looked them up in THE FAMILY BOOK OF HOME REMEDIES. Good luck!

Dandruff or flaky scalp. Most people confuse the two. Dandruff is kind of soft and spongy. Tea tree shampoo is excellent. Dont be tempted to use head and shoulders for goodness sake.

I used to suffer bug time and tried all the shampoos and treatments going. Finally a friend suggested washing my hair in hottest water I can bear, ensuring all the soap is rinsed off, then towel my hair completely dry afterwards - never have damp hair.
That was 6 or 7 years ago and I never suffered since I started. I also buy all my shampoo from £1Land - go figure.

A very simple one word remedy. LEMON. Yes, lemon. Just rub the juice on your scalp after you've clean your hair, after bath, etc. Then leave it for like 5-10 minutes and then wash it of. Do it everyday. See the results after 2 weeks. I don't know whether this will really work, but you can give it a try.
