Why not?
They are great value for money
The smart brand still exist, so no problem for finding parts.
and contrary to common belief they are of good quality though they tend to be pretty noisy and their light weight isn't the best thing for driving in between trucks

Smart is a good car. Even though production of that model may cease the manufacturer must maintain parts for 10 years under German law, and Smart is HQ'd in Germany.
I would use the fact of production end to pressure the dealer down further in price!!!!
I know several people with smarts.. they all love them and all agree that the diesel engine is the way to go if you can.

the smart car is a piece of junk only advantage I can see is that if you cannot park , you put it back in the box it came in and carry it around with you
