I use Windows XP, Microsoft. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do error-checking. If so, is there an easy way to do it, I'm kinda new at this kind of stuff. Thanks A Bunch!

you can run chkdsk, you do that by double clicking on MY COMPUTER,
then right clicking on the LOCAL DISK (C:) and choosing PROPERTIES,
after the C: Properties box opens, click the TOOLS TAB,
then click on the CHECK NOW button under ERROR CHECKING,
another box will open, put a check mark in the box by AUTOMATICLY FIX ERRORS,
then click START............
a box will appear that tells you windows cannot do the check now, but if you want windows to do it the next time you restart, click YES. then it will do the check the next time you restart your computer
