Christians, why are you against Euthanasia like hell while the bible itself encourages it ? of course it is not found in the bible verses, but it is found in the proccess of how the "lamb of god" die for the sins of mankind.

Now
In the case of Jesus Christ
The Pharisees wanted him crucified on the cross
Thus he was crucified, despite of the Governor's effort to spare him the punishment
Let me ask all here
how long before Christ died on the cross?
It wasn't very long, right? It doesn't even last a day
Why?
because there's a Roman soldier guarding the cross took pity on Christ
he thrusted Christ's rib with the shape edge of his spear
It was not an act of brutality; it was meant to cause him quicker death
so he can die from lost of blood
the soldier spare Christ from the pain of dying slowly on the cross

That, ladies and gentlemen, is MERCY KILLING !

i am a chtistian and for once i would like to see other christians to have a little more mind some times.. if one has a crucial disease that kills slowly and painfully, why should we let that person suffer.. i agree with you and read your example from the bible and saw the actual mercy of the roman soldier..

maybe in the future we will learn to stop acting so cold near to others who are suffering.. i mean why can we do that animals.. cause we have mercy for them.. and not to be able to have that same kinf of mercy for humans...?

According to all records Christ was already dead when the spear was thrust into his side. This (or breaking the condemned legs) was a common practice by Romans at the time to be certain that the person being crucified was in fact dead before they were removed from the cross for burial.

Nevertheless, your argument for this being a reason that God encourages such a practice simply because it is recorded in the Bible is ludicrous.

So far as Euthanasia? I'm all for it. I also approve of youth in Europe, Africa, Australia, as well as North and South America. I'm pretty certain God's with me on this one too.

The Pharisees wanted him dead because they liked their status among men. He was proving them wrong and arguing with their teachings. They ridiculed him for miraculious acts on the sabbath, their holy day. If you were being healed of leporacy, would you care what day of the week it was? NOPE.
They were being put out of business, and they knew it. Their decision was a self serving one, but one that had to be done to fufill prophecy. Even Judas was a pawn used to fufil prohecy. Think about that. Someone HAD to do it so it could be done.

Jesus didn't WANT to die, it troubled him deeply, what lie ahead. He simply followed out his father's will. He prayed in the garden for his father to take this cup from him. That means, "Dad, do I really gotta do this? Is this what you really want?" He was also a blood and flesh man. Obviously, father didn't take the cup.

The soldier poked him to SEE if he was dead.

The brutality was the mocking and offered bitter wine when he was thirsty and ask for a drink, so there was very little pity on the Roman's part. The act of crucifixion itself was considered the worse, most dis-honorable way to die. They were trying to inflict the maximum amount of suffering and humility they could before he died. When he got tired of holding himself up by the arms muscles, his weight would contort his chest and then he couldn't breathe. You know his legs and arms got tired. He couldn't find comfort or rest.

Euthenasia is, I would do it myself if I were able, would you do it for me.This is assisted suicide.

I don't know why people have to suffer these things.I don't KNOW that there's a here after or a God. I choose to believe this and have faith for things hoped for and unseen. I have felt it. Was that internal or external? But you know what? Even if I am wrong, I have led a pretty good life and helped others along the way. What's wrong with that?

While we're asking "what if", what if at the very last moment, there was a cure or miracle for you? You missed it because you couldn't wait for you natural life to play out. Maybe he put you through this to teach you something, or with the hope it would draw you near to him.

In summary, he gave his life willingly to his father...even for you.

I hope you didn't ask this to be a butt, but were really trying to understand something. I may have gotten off the subject somewhat, but forgive me.

i am a christian and here is what i say. The bible does not encourage euthansia! First of all back up in your bible Jesus Christ came here to die for us to take our place and give us the gift of eternal life he knew he was going to die. no, when jesus died he said it is finished. "John 19:30 when jesus therfore had received the vinegar he said It is finished: and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost" (he died) now go down to verse 33 same chapter "But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: verse 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water" Jesus was already dead when his side was pierced.

Well if you know anybody that is capable of cleansing every single humans soul by letting him/herself be killed other than Jesus, than i would be OK with that person committing euthanasia.

Besides Jesus was not dieing of a chronic illness or something, HE WAS BEING EXECUTED!

Jesus was already dead when He got stabbed. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We're not Jesus.

Nothing scares a Christian more than death. That's why they believe in an afterlife. It's ironic really. For all their talk about living a moral life They are so superficial that they will keep a brain dead person alive. When a human being can no longer experience life, they have lost the essence of being a person.

Wrong answer my dear. When the roman soldier stabbed Christ the Bible clearly says that "blood and water" came out of Him.
HE WAS ALREADY DEAD when the soldier stabbed him.

I am against "mercy" killings because it presupposes that in order for life to have value or meaning we must first attach a particular "quality" to it.
That is a very dangerous road to walk down. Who's to say that your quality of life is not up to par, and thus it is best to put you down mercifully?
Take the 50 year old homeless man with no family and no friends. Should we kill him because he has no value?
Should we kill the baby in the womb because it is an inconvenience to the mother?
Should we kill the elderly grandmother because she can't cook for herself anymore and her children are too busy with their vacation homes and second cars to care for her?

Human Life is precious, there is no need to attach quality to it in order for that to be true. God Bless!
