The land of a thousand lakes gives thousands of reasons to call it cheap.

Maybe. This sentence is gramatically correct but logically ... awkward.

It doesn't actually make sense. Are you sure this is what it said?
Does it mean that something is being referred to as cheap?
Is it a 'phone ad, where the calls are cheap?

There is nothing wrong with the grammar up to "call", then it goes 'wobbly'.
(Just mention in passing, your "write" should be "right".)

The grammar is perfect. However, the sentence is incorrect, as it makes no sense. Ironically, the grammar of your question was wrong, "could you correct the grammar of this sentence(s)?".
