Being in love is a feeling. It is the most wonderful feeling, but it still is nothing more than emotion. You need to ask yourself and hopefully she will too, "is this the person who makes me want to improve myself, who I respect for what they stand for, someone that I can picture (even if it's in the distant future) having a family with?" If you can say yes to these questions, then you may be right, you might be meant for each other.
True love is not an emotion though, it's a commitment. If you truly believe that you're meant for each other, then you both will end up dedicating your lives to each other, supporting, and building each other up. You will commit to being with them, even after the "lovey dovey" feelings have worn off.
Being in love blinds us and we don't really get to know that person until much later. We learn a little bit about them and we think they are beautiful, so our mind fills in the blanks, making this person look perfect. Hopefully you two have been with each other long enough to really learn what each other is like inside. Do you know what truly moves her, irritates her, what her weaknesses are (if she doesn't have any weaknesses, then you're totally blinded by being in love - everybody has a bag full of weaknesses), and what her redeeming qualities are. Just remember (and you can tell her this too), feelings pass, what will happen if (or should I say "when") one of you wakes up one morning and feel like they couldn't care less about the other? Will you say, "well I don't feel in love anymore, so I guess we should break up", or will you accept that you will not always feel extatic about seeing the other person, but you truly care for them no matter what and see your future only with them. If this is how you guys think, you have nothing to worry about. You won't even notice the other "fish in the sea" and even if you do, you'll know you have too much going on with your girl that you would never consider jeopardizing that.
So I think you both should take some time and re-evaluate things. Talk to each other frankly. Ask her what does she like about you, why does she think you guys are right for each other? Ask yourself the same about her. Be honest with yourself and each other and you guys will figure out just how strong your relationship really is. Of course time will be the ultimate test, but this will help you figure things out the fastest. Good luck.

my first real boyfriend's name was Christopher and we were 12. what i mean by real is, i truly had feelings for him that i did not even understand at that age. we dated when we were 12, 18, and then again in our late 20's. we have always loved each other no matter what. in between all those years we dated other people and lived in different states. the one thing we did was keep in touch with each other once a month no matter what. ( we made a pact with each other) i even got married to someone else. that didn't last and Christopher was the only one who was there for me even though he lived a million miles away. it seems that there is a big sea of fish out there but when you feel IT, go for it. don't let go of it, although i am proof that if you set it free and it comes back it was meant to be. we married and made our child out of true love. our life is wonderful!!!!!

Yea it is the position that's a project. His gonna be 60 nd all old once you'd be in ur 40 and all nevertheless youthful and alive. They do say age is in trouble-free words a huge determination that shouldnt be a element of love, yet imagine about this one. There r this style of number of men obtainable, ur bond to finally end up with one the picture of him or similar. yet honestly a 20 year age hollow is only to significant, sorry to assert. good success thou :)

there are happy stories of people meeting young and being happy for a long time. however, im letting you know now that you will resent her and feel bad that you passed up on the college opportunity to explore if things dont turn out well. college is an amazing time to meet new people.

it's not all that common. not at all, for high school sweethearts to find eachother and get married and live happily ever after.
it is possible though. and it's even more possible for you two to love eachother as much as anyone else loves another person.
the big thing to remember is that people change so much at your age. I'm 23 and people change a lot at my age. so it's also fair to say that your goal would change... her goals would change. it is super important if you guys want to be together in the future to change together. cause if you change separatley, then you'll never be able to be together.
