I'm a single guy, and I'm wondering how this will hurt chances of meeting a woman in the future. Everyone else seems to be buying houses, cars, and other materialistic things. I'm personally tired of this rat race lifestyle. I just want to have the minimal things and have some money in the bank.....
However, I feel this may hurt my chances with the opposite sex as well as how I am percieved in general....
Anyways, I'm going through with this regardless, I'm tired of this materialistic world we live in....
What do you think?

I think it's great. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks though, since you're doing it for yourself. In the long run you'll meet someone with the same priorities and will be very happy together.

I think simplifying your life would make your life a lot less stressful. Having money in the bank is the smartest thing you can do. It'll give you more freedom and options in your life.
You realize you are going against the grain? Consumerism is strongest force out there and it will be a tough battle.
If it's something that you'll need and use everyday then buy it. Everthing else is a luxury. Purchase things that will benefit you financially in the future. A house is a good investment. Cars and tech gadgets are terrible investments.
Being minimal can hurt your playa game. Beautiful fast woman like fast cars and vacation trips. You'll have to focus on finding women who are more down to earth and aren't as materialistic. Like-minded women who don't care in living a fabulous lifestyle.

If you are serious- the one with the most toys wins-I own a company, work at GM and hold 9 complexes in my name. I live like I have "notta", and have turned down more p*ssy this year, yes 07, than your pretty little car has gotten you in the past 2 yrs.Materialistic world doesn't mean squat- it's how you carry yourself. I'm 38 btw.

I think that once you downsize your life, your future girlfriend will be a wonderful girl because she won't care what type of ride you have, what type of bling bling you have. It's one step closer to find a wonderful girl who is pure at heart. Also, invest your money in something worth it, such as a house or a condominium. Good Luck with everything.

I believe that love has nothing to do with that and if a girl really likes or falls in love with you she will want you so bad and not care so much about the rest because love comes from the inside and its not a material thing ;)
