Read, listen to music, use my laptop, talk on the phone, try to find a corner to nap, have something to eat..... How long are we talking here? The longest I have ever been stuck at an airport was 12 hours and I did everything I listed above. I always bring along everything I need for a situation like that such as a clean shirt,, toothbrush, undies etc, but that was the only time I ever needed it.

Read, eat, sleep, shop, drink, talk on the phone, listen to music. Make sure I have my boarding pass/ticket/id. Figure out what I'm doing once I get wherever it is I'm going by flipping through tourbooks I've brought with me. And the one thing I always do is remember exactly what I forgot to bring with me or what I was supposed to do before I left.

Depends on how long, I usually watch the aircraft take-off and land but if you don't have visual of the runway I walk around, watch a movie, listen to music.
