Every branch of our military deserves gratitude for their service. I am proud of you.

You made a great decision..I just hope you are ready for the military..the air force is the most laid back and you get a really good education. Most people in Army, Navy, Marines actually envy the Air Force. I know I wish I would have joined the AF instead of the Navy..worst mistake I ever made. You get paid the same so go the easy route..and if you're smart than don't waste yourself on the Army. Just my opinion. And from personal experience make sure that before you leave you are ready to give up four years of your life because once you get to Bootcamp your decision making and freedom is over until the day you get out. Don't just join to feel proud..only join if it will truely better your life. I won't tell anyone to join but I won't tell them not too either..I have seen the bad side and the good side of the military..Email me at Tantar_87@yahoo.com if you have any questions about military life..I would be more than glad to help you or anyone that needs answers. Thank you.

If you are willing to serve our country in the military, considering all the mortal dangers you will most likely be facing (and sooner, rather than later), then yes, I am very proud of you, whatever branch of the service you choose to join. And these other people should be just as proud of you in the Air Force as in the Army as an airborne medic....and it shouldn't matter whether they agree or disagree with the President on Iraq...support or oppose the war (and I really don't think it was such a hot idea), each and every one of us Americans should support our troops, and be proud of the job they are doing and the sacrifices they are making.
If you believe the Air Force is the right place for you....go for it...and I, for one, am very proud of you. (Didn't mean to rant like that, but I got on a roll, oh well.)

Yes (with the exception of John Kerry and a few others who didn't actually help America)
I'm very proud of our military! My cousin is in the National Guard and he just came back from Iraq. Now his younger brother just volunteered to go! He's doesn't know yet if they'll send him over to Iraq, but he wants to. I'm really proud of them.
Best of wishes. I'm very proud of you. Thank you for defending my country! You're the greatest!
P.S. Be proud to tell your family that you're in the Air Force. They'll be excited for you, I'm sure!

I am proud of any man who wants to join the armed forces , in whatever branch and tho I know they dont have a choice I am not always proud of the way in which our forces are used .
A soldiers task is to learn his trade but they way he is used is a polititions choice and it seems to me there is always something soiled about politics .

I think your friends and family will still be "proud" of you. It wasn't the army they were proud of, it's your willingness to serve your country. Tell them with your head held high that you are in the Air Force! God Bless You.

Without a doubt. Knowing that we are a voluntary army, it is really suprizing how high our motivation level is. I have been downrange for a combined time of a little over 27 months, and just came back from my second tour there. A lot of my soldier have deployed bith times with me, and let me tell you that not once did any of them ever ***** or moan about the cause for which we are fighting. God bless our troops!!!

In my opinion, it's good to be proud of the military cause and the people who gave their lives to it. Not nessessary all of the soldiers. A lot of people don't realize that people in the military are from the same group of people that live in the slums in the US. They just wanted to escape and do better for themselves. But back to your question, your friends and family should still be proud of you either way. Take care.

You live your own life, you make your own choices. I wouldn't care in the least bit. Just remember you are bound by law to ignore illegal commands, and you are a Defender of the Constitution and the People first, and a defender of the government only when it follows the Constitution. Good luck :)

Personally, I am.
I'm even proud of the dolts, morons, low-lifes and wannabes who flunk out of boot camp in 2 weeks or less.
(One of whom was my brother...)
They value their country enough to volunteer, and in a time of war, when you know you're going to face danger, I can't describe to you how moving that is.
