I currently have a linoleum floor that is very cold when you step on it bare foot. I hate that cold feeling, especially in the winter. How can you make your kitchen feel more warm?

you can use tile and a tile warming system. it is a system of tubes running under the tiles usually filled with warm water. very nice for bathrooms too.

Don't use any type of laminate flooring in the kitchen or any place else where you can get a lot of spilled water. The stuff simply isn't designed for it.

If you want to go to the expense, you can add subfloor heating. You will have to add insualtion below that or the heat will radiate down instead of up.

Good Luck.

Cheap answer: One of those large area rugs they sell at the Home Depot type stores, (darker color, so it doesn't show stains in a kitchen. Also add non slip pads underneath). Not so cheap: Get one of those "floating" wood floors installed. Nice and warm, with the look of hardwood flooring at a fraction of the cost.
