Some states have a credit for disabled dependent, so check that out.

Of course medical deductions which can include modifications to your home or vehicle.

There is no age-limit for a disabled child to be your qualifying child for the dependency exemption, earned income credit, head of household filing status, or credit for dependent care expenses. So the child will still qualify you even after he is over 18.
