I recently received my Associates in Criminal Justice and am working on my Bachelors, so I'm a Junior in college. I just picked my minor and thought English would be good because I'm a great writer and enjoy it very much. What kind of job can I expect with that major and minor when I graduate? Or am I completely out of element because I chose a minor that isn't very related to my chosen field of study? I'm open to comments and suggestions.

First off your major and your minor do not have to match. With your major you can go into law enforcement. You can be a police officer or use it as a background to apply for law school. With English you can publish literature.

Sometimes cops have to do a lot of paperwork, so you know that your paperwork will be well written with good grammer and good punctuation! :-)

I think you could probably work with children as a writer and as a criminal justice person. You could work in a junvinile detention center and help the children with their english papers?

Maybe you need to ask a few of your teachers what kinda jobs there are out in the world for you. Get some input on where you can actually use your schooling.

Good Luck :-)

You can work in law offices, govenment offices (esp. if you enjoy politics), health and human services depts, sheriffs' offices', and even FBI, CIA, and a whole bunch of 3-letter depts.

You can also work as a script writer for TV or movies.
