He's not vane, although He definitely can control weather..But seriously, God is like your dad or mom. Although they are aware of your deep love for them, your parents are happier when you let them know about your feelings for them. Twenty four hours in a day, seven days a week, and you can't spend an hour or two of every week to pray to God Jehovah to let Him know how much you love him and to thank him for the blessings He has showered upon you?

Jesus is asking you today, Who do you say that I am?
That’s the main question,-------- the one which will determine your eternal soul’s destination.
You know, He was not a good man or a teacher as many grudgingly speak of Him.
He was one of three things.
1.He was a lunatic, a madman, suffering from delusions of grandeur; or
2.He was a liar, a deceiver trying to pass himself off as something he was not, or,
3.He is Lord of all Life, and He holds all Life in His hands now and forever.
There are no other possibilities—Because He made His three great claims: “I am God, I will raise the dead, and I will be the final judge.”
Accept Jesus as Saviour, or suffer the consequences of sin forever.

Prayer is more than just worship. Prayer is spiritual communication.
Going to church is not just singing hymns, it is to gather in the spirit and learn the word of God together.
Unless you're John the Baptist or Samuel or Moses who roam the lands and are able to communicate with God directly, you will need someone to guide you.

Good question. Prayer is not for Him but for ourselves. If we are to be a scientist, we have to remind ourselves about it and cherish scientific activities every moment.
So too, if we were to reach the supreme state of Godhood then we are to constantly remind ourselves towards our Goal to avoid diversions of the mind. This is called Yoga in Hinduism. Bhakti (devotion) is one aspect of the yoga.
There are other yogas of Gnyana (enquiry), Karma (unselfish actions) and Hatha (as that of Patanjali).
If we have the temperment of surrender then we take up prayer. If we are rational we should take up enquiry (Gnyana).
All this could lead us to the source (called GOD). As per our religious books (Vedas for Hindus), there is ONLY god and therefore there is nothing other to praise.
So always remember Prayer is for us and not for GOD (like scientific books are for us and not for science)

Why do you care whether they go or not? If they want to go, let them. It doesn't hurt you. If you can't stand that somebody has a different concept of God than you do, then I'd say that's YOUR problem, not theirs, and YOU need to deal with it.

He has a Divine Plan. The prayers won't be answered anyway, because he can't change the plan, its divine. Waste of their time, not mine.
