Just the belief is fine enough.

...you could drop off a 6-pack at the church too.

Minnie, you're headed in the right direction, the definition of religion is. doing good works to get to heaven basically. Christianity on the other hand is a relationship with God. Spending time talking to him reading his word and doing the best you can to be more like the example Jesus set for us. Going to church is a good idea being around other believers that are going through the same things you are is a big help. the church you pick doesn't make alot of difference as long as they read the bible and obey God's word. I myself go to an Assembly of God church.

Have you confess that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and have been born again. After you are born again you should continue to study the word of God, be a member of a spirit-filled church, take communion and take part in prayers like the Christians did in Acts 2:42. I suggest that you also get yourself baptized with the Holy Spirit to receive the gift of speaking in tongues and God's power for you to live your Christian life victoriously. Pray in tongues as often as you can and you build yourself up to be a strong Christian (1 Cor 14:4). I pray that you will know Jesus, the way, the truth and the life, more intimately and become more and more like Him. Amen.

First off GET A BIBLE, and a guide to the Bible. Then if you are a reader I would tell you to pick up the book Left Behind and it might open your eyes to see what is coming our way. I have been so inspired by this book that I am reading the rest of the series, and even though I am a Christian and I attend church this book has made me closer to God and wanting to try harder and witness to everyone! I am really glad to see so much interest at your age!

"No atheists please"

Well step one in being more religious is becomming more tolerant. So best drop that attitude right now.

You should probably rephrase this to "How do I become a better Christian?" Religion does not always equal god and Jesus: Just ask Tom Cruise.

My advice is to follow your heart. Do what you think is best. Take your faith with an open mind and don't try to adhere yourself to all the rules, you will only become dissapointed. Your vision of god will love you for trying, I'm sure.

Why couldn't an atheist tell you how to be a better Christian? Personally, I think it's rather self-explanatory; read the Bible and follow the commandments. If you believe a religion's true, the only way to become more religious is to do more of the stuff it tells you. It doesn't sound like you'd want to make this commitment though, so you'd better decide how much of yourself you really want to put into it first.

It is good that you have faith in God and Jesus.
You know to read the Bible is necessary although you have not done well yet.
You know it is necessary to go to church although you have not done it regularly.
The next good step is to reread the Bible. Perhaps just a short verse each day, such as "Love thy neighbor", think deeply about it and put it into practice, because doing the Will of God is the true and only purpose taught by Christ.
Once you are confirmed in faith and prayer, Christ will surely lead you to more happy and glorious steps.
Pray for your spiritual progress.

Honey, you don't want to be religious. Sounds like you want a closer walk with the Lord. There are many translations of The Word of God.I like the side by side versions. Maybe you can find a place to worship with others your age.Fellowship with other believers in Christ always helps in your walk with the Lord. Please, spend time in the Word, pray for revelation knowledge, and The Holy Spirit will guide you in understanding.God Bless!

The bible says faith comes by hearing. Please continue to read the bible.
Read the Psalms, Proverbs, and Genesis, all of it, not just the story of creation.
Then maybe the gospel according to Matthew, and according to John, then Acts, and the epistles.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ isn't a bad read, either. Especially chapters 4-21
Keep looking for God with all your heart, and He will find you.
The scriptures say "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"
Humble yourself, and seek God. When your heart is right, He will suddenly show His Love and Glory to you.

Jesus is asking you today, Who do you say that I am?
That’s the main question,-------- the one which will determine your eternal soul’s destination.

You know, He was not a good man or a teacher as many grudgingly speak of Him.
He was one of three things.
1.He was a lunatic, a madman, suffering from delusions of grandeur; or
2.He was a liar, a deceiver trying to pass himself off as something he was not, or,
3.He is Lord of all Life, and He holds all Life in His hands now and forever.
There are no other possibilities—Because He made His three great claims: “I am God, I will raise the dead, and I will be the final judge.”
Accept Jesus as Saviour, or suffer the consequences of sin forever.

Go to a Religious Bookstore and get a Bible study book. I have a hard time reading the Bible as well and the study guides lay it all out for you in plain English.

Good Luck and God Bless.
