Depends on what kind and how it is stored. We had a lot of wine bottles and liquor stored in the basement of our old house and most of the bottles had been there for about 10 years. They were all placed on the dirt of the basement and went through hot summers. When we held up some of the wine bottles to the light we could see settling of something that looked like rust. The only ones that seemed to be good were the hard liquors.

I'm not sure that it can be kept indefinately. However, I am 68 years old and have never had any to go bad on me. I will have to admit that I have, on rare occasions, kept some for considerably longer than usual. I remember one time that I had a bottle Gin for three days, and another time that I savored a fruit jar of shine for a whole weekend. Since there is a possibility that it could spoil, don't you think it foolish to take a chance?

No, and put in a bottle, the aging have no effect what so ever on liquor. A positive aging effect is achieved when but on barrels, preferably oak.

No, but if wine and fruit liquors get too hot (for example, if you keep them in the boiler room), they will turn to vinegar.

yes ,some can "expire",unless you are talking of high quality wine or 40% + proof spirits which will not expire and will most likely improve with age, unlike us.
