I'm creating a myspace account and have some questions:

1) i don't wanna give my Real last and first name. Any ideas of names I could use.

2) Is it okay for me to "create an identity" and pretend I'm a fictional person when on myspace or should i just be me?

my first name is something like "why do u give a f*ck" and my last name goes something like this "wjfieiowjoijngv". then for my city i just put socal but i put a character in it so people could not find it. then i put it on private. also don't list any schools or jobs u go to because people could find u more easily. also when someone wants to add me they either have to know my last name or email. then i just use my nickname that friends know so that they know who i am along with my picture! Talk about anonymous huh!

and as for being a fictional person why not just create two accounts?? one for the real u for friends and family, etc. and the other for fun to mess around? thats what i do!

You don't have to use your real name, half the people on myspace don't. Use a friends lastname or a nickname or something made up. It's okay to "create an identity", I really believe most people do. It all depends on what you're going on myspace for. I have a myspace page because my family lives in another state and that's how I keep in touch with them and some of my friends. Other people go on there just for entertainment purposes in which case you can create an identity. If you're going to meet new friends or look for a relationship, then you should be honest because you might meet someone you're interested in and that person might not like you if you have a "made up identity". Hope this helps.

Okay first of all, if you don't have to state your name at all. The name you create the account with is not shown to anyone because the display name can be anything you choose. A quote even. As for your second concern, you should be yourself if you want to meet people and make friends. But, if it's something yr doing for boredom a fictional character is fine it just won't get you anywhere.

1. Just leave them blank. It means you cannot be searched for.

2. Yes, it is okay. There are no rules to myspace.

You can use a fictional name if you'd like. Maybe R. U. Foreal.

Other than the name, I think it would be more fun to just be yourself. It sure is a lot less complicated!

Its not that big of deal, I have one to watch over kids in my family to make sure they are being safe, just dont give out your last name and place of residence or any personnal information. You can also set your page as private so only people that know you can see it. Have fun

um no one see your name unless you actually post it yourself on your myspace. You can also set your page to private if you don't want anyone to see it but your friends and yourself. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing i don't think it's right to pretend that you're someone else i think you can get your profile deleted if someone reported you to tom.

im just me on my myspace. i dont think people really go on there to stalk people, because you have to be on someone's friends list to leave messages on their page (anyone can email you thru there though), or do much.
