i've got some songs that i REALLY would like to have, but my dance teacher said that we couldn't have them because they are a 3 beat, not a 4 beat(we want to do the bridal waltz). I want to have "Love Is All Around" by WetWetWet, or 'Unchained Melody" by the Rightout Bros... I am walking down the aisle(garden path actually) to Kay-C and JoJo's "All My Life". Does anyone have any ideas of some songs that we could dance to for our first dance (as the bridal waltz). And especially any songs that i could use for my bouquet throwing, and maybe cake cutting ( not too stressed on this one)? this would be a huge help! Thanks!

Congrats to you and your partner ! Firstly, please dont listen to your dance teacher ! If you want to dance to "Love is all around" then dance to it. No one is watching that you have the 4 count in time! When my hubby and I married we danced to "At Last" by Etta James. We did not go to dance lessons and really at that moment all we did was dance and look into each other eyes. The fact that everyone is watching will not even cross your mind. The other thing is that your parents and his parents, and the bridal party will also come up either halfway thru your song or the very next song so I am sure that they are all not proffessional dancers...

We had a beach wedding also and I walked down the aisle to "Pachel belles Canon"... For our signing of the registry we had the Candlelight version of DJ Sammy's "Heaven". After being pronounced hubby and wife we walked down the aisle to Keith Urbans " Somebody like you" as it is an upliftng song! When we entered the Reception we had Harry Connick Jnrs "It had top be you". For cake cutting we had Tim McGraw and Faith Hills "Its your love" ...... For the bouquet and the garter its nice if you have uplifting cheeky songs.... I havent got any that comes to mind (sorry) BUT contact Wedding Djs in your local area and they normally have a common song list that you may like some of their songs also my Dj gave us a cd with snippets of the songs so we recognised the song.

PLEASE remember that this is your man and your day ! Do not let other ppl tell you what you can and cant have ! You do what you both want ! Let other ppl's advise guide you but in the end it is your approval ok !!!

Oh and also if you can..... money wise etc.... go with proffessional photographers and video men !!! It may be expensive at first but the memories of the day is captured forever, So many of my friends had family do it and the precious moments were not captured as Uncle Fred's head got in the way or no one could hear you say your vows !!! And if you do get pros then check their work before you decide on them !!! Normally if you can get a Photographer that prints all your photos out and gives them to you on CDs are the way to go... Others make you pay when you want copies !!!

Congrats again and remember on the day to stop and enjoy the moment ! It goes to fast

Well I am not so sure what a Bridal Waltz is, but I have some good songs perhaps...

SHANIA TWAIN - You're Still the One

...Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
...

whatever song you choose, just make sure that you are happy with it. It doesn't really matter if your dance teacher says you can't use it. They aren't the one that's getting married. Pick a song that means something to you and your fiancee, like the first song you danced to, or something like that. It's your day, make it perfect. Best wishes.

You know what helps? Go to iTunes, and search the iMix (user created playlists) for wedding songs. I suggest this because that way you get a huge sampling, and you get to preview the songs.
