feet swelling is not due to your drinking or not drinking water but rather due to compressed air in the plane cabin and of course altitude of the plane the best way is to do some feet exercise and do some walking and strecthing during flights as the crew will allow, drinking water is very much recommended during flight time to avoid dehydration especially in long flight time. in my personal experience drinking a lot of liquid(not alcohol) somewhat help in recovering from jet lag and other nuances of after flights.

Regardless of what your feet are doing, it's better to drink water.

Especially on a long flight the dry atmosphere will dehydrate you after you've been in the air for a while. It's better to replace your fluids, and that might help your swollen feet.

Drink the water, stand up and walk around a bit, and do those excercises they are recommending in the flight magazines.

Drink more water (it helps "wash" sodium out of the system, and that's what holds water); also avoid caffeine (it constricts the blood vessels). Before flying, I always take aspirin, both to help circulation, and to prevent clotting from extended periods of sitting.
