Recently I noticed ringing in my ears. Went to the ENT doctor and got my ears checked. No infection and hearing test was 100% for both ears. In the beginning the ringing ranged from both ears and sometimes the sound switched to the inside of my head (really annoying),. Now, only the ringing is occurring in my left ear.

I also noticed that my wisdom teeth are coming out and may be impacted; I'm wondering if the wisdom teeth are the culprit for causing the ringing ears.

The OP never asked "What are the possible causes of ringing in ears?"
He asked "Is my ringing caused by wisdom teeth?"

It's quite peculiar how the original question was never answered but lots of unrelating info given. ;)

To answer the OP's question I did some research, since I get episodes of severe pressure inside my ears. The neurologist, and ENT said I'm fine, and so did the MRI scan. Yet I still feel like crap. Anyway, there are references from various people that wisdom teeth can indeed cause ear pain, pressure and mabe even ringing. These ideas are not coming from doctors, and therefore cant be considered 100% true. Still it seems that wisdom teeth can cause the above problems. I even found one site where a doctor is talking about various problems that wisdom teeth can cause. Check it out, and compare to what you are feeling: http://www.pacpubserver.com/new/health/d-e/hm1025.html

PS: I advise you to see a neurologist to about your ear ringing. (just in case). It is a fact that ringing can be caused by blood vessel spasms and constrictions inside the head. That can be caused by strain, stress, and many other various problems.

High Blood Pressure can cause 'ear-ringing'.

Erupting wisdom teeth, impacted wisdom teeth, or lower molar teeth with big cavities can often cause referred pain to the ear on the affected side. It would be very unlikely, however, that your wisdom teeth by themselves are causing your tinnitus.

No joke I am being serious! I had this happen to me last night and it really scared me! I cleaned me ears and went back to sleep and this morning my ears are sore but not ringing! I went outside and my neighbor had some sort of generator going or some device and I believe that is what I was hearing! Good luck and I hope you feel better!
