MYTH: Peanut Butter is not heart healthy
FACT: Peanut butter is indeed heart healthy. Over 80% of the fat in peanut butter is unsaturated, which is heart healthy and, as with all plant foods, peanut butter contains no cholesterol. A study published in the December 1999 American Journal of Clinical Nutrition by researchers from Penn State University showed that peanuts and peanut butter lowered blood cholesterol levels as effectively as olive oil in moderate fat diets. And the peanut butter diet was more effective than a low fat diet in maintaining levels of HDL-cholesterol and lowering triglyceride levels. Peanut butter is also a good source of niacin, folic
Eating two spoonfuls of peanut butter straight from the jar may seem like a guilty pleasure, but new research shows it could be a healthy habit.
Specifically, the diets of peanut and peanut butter eaters were higher in vitamins A and E, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, and fiber. Nuts are also loaded with monounsaturated fats, which have been linked to lower cholesterol.
women who regularly ate peanut butter and nuts had a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes
However you still need to be concerned about quantity. Try to portion your servings.
Hope this helps.

There are all varieties of peanut butter flavored treats for dogs, together with peanut butter filled bones. Also, once we provide our dog her medication twice every day, we provide it to her by way of sticking it on a canine biscuit with peanut butter. She's taken it that method for approximately 3 years and not using a in poor health results.

Peanut butter is good for you... but in moderation. If you eat too much, bad things could happen, like the weight gain and clogged arteries.

Peanut butter is good for you and has lots of protein .I think a couple of teaspoons or a tablespoon a day would not cause a weight gain at all...I ate it and still do and I am on weight watchers, and they recommend 1 tablesoon per day...The reason is is filling is because it has fiber, fiber keeps you from being hungry....

yes it is very good for you as long as you don't go overboard as it is loaded with fat (good fat tho) and calories.
I eat it every day.
HOWEVER if you really want to be healthy, you must by organic PB as the other stuff is LOADED with additional sugar
