My net bf and I have been talking for 16 months now but he does not tell me about his hometown; he has not showed himself to me using a webcam, not even voice. I know details about him, time spent at the rehab, time spent with friends, his work, his likes/dislikes and a lot more. Is there a way of knowing his whereabouts while we are chatting? I dont want to say I'm being cheated it is just unfair coz I let him see me and hear me. He uses his mobile phone most of the time when we talk so I would understand. But when he uses a computer, he would always say he does not have a cam or mic. Even if he is in a cafe, he would say, webcams are not that common in South Africa (I believe he mentioned Blouberg, Durban). Is this true? Are internet connections very expensive in South Africa? He says it is.

This is not a real relationship. This is like when you have imaginary friends when you are a kid. I will bet you money that he is married.
A man who can spend 16 months without meeting a girl is not trustworthy. Men want to have sex. If he doesn't want to meet you and try to have sex in person, he has something to hide. Probably a wife. Or maybe he's in prison.
You need to go out and develop a real relationship. There is no reason to trust a single thing this guy has said to you. I can guarantee you he's lying to you. This is not the way trustworthy, honest people behave.
He's playing you. Get away from him.

i think you are being naive, and need to cut off connection to this probable liar. Ive been through this..and in the end..turned out he wasnt who he said he was. The pic he had up on his Nexopia page was of someone else..he eventually showed me the real him..Scary! I called him on his lie, because he never went on cam, and always cancelled when we made plans. Always had an excuse. Never again will i be duped. I think that if your gut tells you something isnt right..then it probably isnt and you should listen to it.

weird...i never understand why people dont try to date local people..it seems like it would be real difficult to have a serious relationship via computer/phone
