yay you went with jeeper. i love it! sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this schedule and it sounds great. the only thing you need to consider is you need to be outside with the pups to praise them when they potty. if you don't you could run into trouble with housetraining. plus it's dangerouse for puppies to be outside without supervision. even in the short time you have them out by themselves they can learn behavoirs suchs as digging and barking and chewing on parts of the house or whatever. schedule in the time to stay outside with them, praise them for going potty and let them play outdoors for a bit. but bring them back in and don't leave them outdoors by themselves. you've done a great job and just needs a few modifications. good luck to you. also i like shaddie too. didn't want to leave that pup out.

You sound like a responisble pet owner. I hope you keep with it and remember that a dog is more than a pet. Your dog needs these three things to fulfill it:
Exercise (most important)
Discipline (second most important)
Attention/love (third most important)
If you give your dogs these three things it will have a full and happy life. All the best - Great choice of dogs by the way. Be aware though that Huskie dogs require tons of exercise. These dogs were bred to walk for days on end without a break. (This must be taken into consideration when deciding how long to walk the dog for) All the best.

I think this is a very ambitious and considerate schedule you have created for your pets and shows just how much you care about them.
However, I don't expect that you'll be able to (and or parents) will be able to maintain such a vigorous schedule forever.
You may want to scale back a bit sometime in the future and you may want to incorporate some "puppy socialization" time such as doggie day care, and or dog parks.
I would also encourage you to invest some time and money in other enrichment tools such as chew toys and bones and the like for while they are indoors.
It's nice to see such concerned owners out there like yourself! you should change your dogs names to "lucky"... cuz they are VERY lucky!

My only suggestion is that the moment the pups wake up, they have to pee. Food comes second at this point.
Also, how committed are your parents to following this schedule? And how safe are your pups outside during the several hours you indicate they will remain?
And what will the pups be doing from 7:30 til noon?
Sorry, but when you have other people involved in YOUR schedule...you can only hope they will keep the work up. I really hope your parents are as eager about these dogs as you are.
As far as schedules go...this schedule you outline will be broken, again and again.
It is a REAL good thing to try to commit to, but reality will strike and other things in life will intervene.

This is very nice.. and good luck with it and you seem to be a serious pet owner.
Just remember one thing about puppies. They have to potty as soon as they wake up.. potty after they eat.. potty after they drink water (no matter when).. potty after you have started to play with them.. so play a couple of Min's then take them out then continue to play... That's puppies for you... little pee-ing machines.
By adding that into your schedule and things should be great.
HAVE FUN & GOOD LUCK

Sounds good to me ^_^. If you keep that up and train them well you should end up with two very happy healthy adult dogs one day. Beware that a puppies bladder doesnt run on a schedule though. When they have to go, they go.

Gonna have to get up a few minutes earlier, cuz they have to pee as soon as they wake up. Otherwise, it is a good schedule.
I am still ashamed of you for getting rid of your older dogs, so you can have the new puppies.
