You can't be serious!!!! R u saying that you drink more alcohol since taking these antidepressants??? No way buddy............don't mix alcohol with antidepressants................a very dangerous cocktail......................that's why you are getting more depressed, the alcohol is affecting the medications potency.......................you're lucky you haven't caused yourself serious damage............please talk to your Doctor/Pharmacist about what you should and shouldn't do on the current medication.........:)

Make a mental note-- these medicines can make you have suicidal thoughts. So remember that so you have something to grab onto. Tell your doctor, keep your doctor informed!

Also see if you are taking medicines that interfere with FLUOX.

Medicines that may interfere with FLUOX include:

* Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
* Other antidepressants
* Lithium
* Warfarin
* Central nervous system active medicines including phenytoin, alprazolam and diazepam
* Oral antidiabetic medicines or insulin.

FLUOX should not be used in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age).

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following, especially if they are severe, abrupt in onset, or were not part of your presenting symptoms: anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), irritability, hostility (aggressiveness), impulsivity, akathisia (restlessness or difficulty sitting still), hypomania, mania (mood of excitement, over-activity and uninhibited behaviour), worsening of depression.

Tell your doctor immediately if you have any distressing thoughts (thought of suicide or self-harm) or experiences during this initial period or at any other time.

It depends on how long have you been taking the pill? Usually it can takes up to 3 months t effect. Talk to your Dr. and discuss it immediately. Your other option could be talking to a psychologis.
There are many options and suicide is not the best one.

i imagine I truly have tried 21 different drugs for melancholy. (yeah, I counted - i grow to be only surprised that NONE of them worked) and then in the approach doing study for my thesis i found this - "The dominance of marketplace funding in this field has obscured the data that about 30% of sufferers do no longer respond to any drug, that the definition for reaction should you do reply is frequently a 50% fairly than an eighty-one hundred% progression in score rankings, and that in words of efficacy the present drugs are not any more suitable constructive than those presented in the 1950’s.....Given the intensity of diagnosis on neurotransmitter hypotheses, we've both been unlucky or unimaginative in no longer searching more suitable constructive neurotransmitter-depending drugs, or although there are different truly different mechanisms which make a contribution to melancholy and which proceed to be truly untouched by using modern-day drugs.”

How long have you been on your meds? Mine made me feel sad until like the first two weeks, however you need to stop drinking if you expect the meds to work properly, also ask your doctor about a different med tell about your side effects

the point of them is that they work for some people, but millions of other people are on them because the drug industry wants your money. i have been and know many people who have been on them, with terrible results. if they make you depressed and suicidal, dont take them anymore. doctors are careless and dont always have your best interest in mind. my advice is to quit them and start eating healthy, exercising and finding activities that make you happy.

the alcohol is adding to your depression so the pills arent working. see your doctor about a possible change in medication and stop drinking.
