I'm a newb when it comes to HDTV's and all that HDMI stuff... I saw a toshiba flat panel tv on sale for 800, but I noticed that it only said HDMI, and not HDTV... So does that mean that the tv isn't HDTV or??? Because what i intend to use it for is to connect an xbox 360 to it...and maybe watch some dvd movies... Can anyone explain this to me..

I would have to see a link to the actual TV, but I would say most likely if it has HDMI it would be HDTV, but to be sure, send me a link and I will check it out. My email is in my profile.

It is still an HDTV, HDMI just means that there is a port on the back of the tv that you can use to connect your cable/satellite box or DVD player. The HDMI cable is for HD signals so you can get the best picture quality from either box.

You do not need HDMI to use the 360. The 360 doesn't use HDMI, only component cables. If the TV has HDMI ports, odds are high is support HDTV....I would double check before I bought it.

HDMI is a High Definition Cable that allows HD Signals from your Media to pass to the Monitor!
The Set is High Definition Ready-All you Need is a HD cable Box with either HDMI Cables or Composite Video cable to view in HD!
You 360 should output in 1080(=High definition), you'll need a Compatible cable to link your 360 to your Monitor!
Hope this Helps?

if a tv has a hdmi input it can at least recieve hd signals. it is prabaly hd, im pretty sure toshiba makes only hd lcds. for your 360 though you dont need the hdmi , it hooks up thru component(red green blue and red white for audio) not the composite(that was mentioned on another answer) for hd output. you need to have that cable from you 360 or you willnot see it in hd.

definite you may, yet there could be genuinely no factor. a inexpensive HDMI cable for kind of $10/£10 will artwork superb, and could make an excellent distinction to the time-honored of game portraits and blu-ray action pictures. you have the ability to play issues on your PS3, yet they gained't be in HD:)
