Is there a certain number of sexual partners that you feel officially makes a girl "easy"?

I know what the dictionary definition is ... but what do you consider "many"? More than 1? Or 25? We all have different standards ... I simply want a generalized overview of what people's standards are.

Why do you assume that I am being negative for asking this question? I'm currently writing a Sociology paper dealing with sexuality and the idea of promiscuity in today's society. My intention was to find out others' opinions on exactly what promiscuity is. I agree with everything you said until you called me ignorant.

It could be a lot of things. A broken home, no father figure, competitive, jealousy, scared of commitment, loves to be center of attention, people pleaser, low self esteem, drugs abuse for some, gosh the list goes on and on..everyone is different..but those are some factors Id say. And for the number part..I guess is when she loses count or sex doesn't have any meaning to her anymore..its with anyone..they don't respect their body anymore.

Depends on if your man or a woman. For women, the standards are higher. For men, it seems like anything over 2 or 3 makes them promiscuous, while men can have several sexual partners and it "supposedly" makes them more of a man. I think that's wrong.

No, I think what makes a girl promiscious is a girl or woman who is having sex because she thinks he'll love her for it or because she feels she needs the attention. Having even one or two sexual partners for these reasons is slutty. This applies to both men and women.
On the other hand, if a woman is comfortable with her sexuality and respects herself, she can have any number of sexual partners without being considered promiscuous in my mind. I'm also convinced that someone who is comfortable with their sexuality and respects herself wouldn't care if you called her a slut or easy. Infact, I think she'd just feel sorry for you and your ignorance.

I don't think it is the number But it may help with the conclusion that one is promiscuous. Let's say you have sex with 6 people with in 2 or 3 months... to me yeah I would say you are.

Well, yeah that is where I was trying to get at ... I think it is more the time frame... let's say 25 people.... is it one year or 40 years?

I'd say more like frequency, or how quickly after meeting someone she sleeps with him/her. to me, partners is more of a situational thing - maybe she slept with friends she'd had for years, or started early.
