a good way of doing this is first buy a dog toy/dog bone that the dogacan chew on it, then if you ever catch your dog chewing on something he's not suppose to, hit him GENTLY on the head and say no. don't yell at them though. then give the dog toy/dog bone to him to chew.

First of all make sure your dog has enough chew toys and plush toys to spend time with. After that there is a product called ''NaturVet® Bitter Yuck!(TM) No Chew Spray'' . İt's better than all the other ones because it's water based and alcohol free. You can purchase it at a Petsmart store. İt is very dangerous for dogs to chew wires so if you have wires that the dog can chew you must get them plastic covered.

Provide something the dogs like to chew on instead of things what you think it shouldn't chew on. If you leave shoes or socks around and the dog is teething or bored, then they will be chewed. If you put things away and buy dog toys, especially like a kong which can be filled with soft food and frozen, the dog will become much more interested in dog toys.

how old is the dog? is it a puppy? i would reccomend getting a crate and keep the dog in the crate anytime you cannot directly observe the dog. but don't leave the dog in there all day. make sure you take the time to properly exercise the dog. if the dog is properly exercised they often will not destroy things since they are happy and tired. when you do catch her chewing on something inappropriate say NO in a firm voice. but don't yell or be angry. your dog so far obviously does not understand not to do this. you need to be calm, patient and consistent in teaching this. get up and go to the dog and place the dog in a sitting position and say sit while doing this, or tell the dog to sit if they know this command. then give the dog something it may chew on. keep dog appropraite chew toys to help the dog have an outlet for this.

Hi, there are various ways to help your dogs stop chewing on things. 1. By training which may take alot of time. 2. Get durable chewing toys for your dog (you may even add treats in the toy) 3. Get a stop-chew spray (bitter spray) commonly found in pet shops and spray on your stuff. This method will stop your dogs on chewing your household stuff as they taste bitter. Hope this will help you!

train him to bite only the things you allow him to. Get him some nylon bones. Dogs are very teachable when young - my dog NEVER bit anything except the toys we provided her with from young. Dogs WILL always need something to chew on

Spray "Bitter Apple" ( you can buy it in pet stores) on things he might want to chew.
Sign up for begining obediance dog training. Walking your dog EVERY DAY works wonders for lots of things.....obediance class will teach you how to teach your dog. When your dog learns how to understand, he'll do what you want.

......Unless he's a Labrador Retriever, then he'll be a "puppy" for 2 and a half years!!!!!
