Regarding the earlier answers about not dancing with your son...I really don't see how you dancing with him would be any different than the father of the bride dancing with his daughter. They need to get their heads out of the gutter.
I like Sara Evans' I Could Not Ask For More. She wrote it for her daughter, but it never mentions gender, so it could go both ways. Here are the lyrics (did I mention it makes me cry every time I hear it?):
Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smile just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
And these are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything in me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
And these are the moments
I know all I need is this
I've found all I've waited for, yeah
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
And every prayer has been answered
Every dream I've had's come true
Yeah, right here in this moment
Is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me
Yeah
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
And these are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
And every prayer has been answered
Every dream I've had's come true
Yeah, right here in this moment
Is right where I'm meant to be
Oh, here with you here with me
No, I could not ask for more
Than this love you gave me
Cause it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
No, yeah
No, I could not ask for more

Plase for the love of God do not listen to the people who are telling you not to dance with your so n. Families have danced together for years -there is noting creepy or wrong about it.
This is a nice moment to shine the spotlight on him.

I agree no slow dance. That comes off as inappropriate, even if you have the purest of intentions. Something up-tempo.
"You are the Sunshine of My Life" by Stevie Wonder. Good luck!

Mother slow dancing with her son is disturbing to me. Isn't there another way to show your love, respect and assurance? How about just giving time to listen, without judgment? Communicating...
