Ducks and geese have no gag reflex. I have no liberal reflex. Foie Gras is delicious!!! They should go save a whale somewhere. Animals are here for us to eat.

I'm on the fence. I really don't know. I've talked to people who have been to foie gras farms, and the geese are sad that they get overfed. They actually will run to the food tube. But, I just don't know. I don't really care that much either way. I don't think foie gras is that great. I've only ever had it when it's given to me because I'm not willing to pay for it. It's just not that great to me.

The suffering the geese endure so that we can enjoy their fatty liver is pretty sick and sad. Every bite of Foie Gras I've had has tasted and felt orgasmic in my mouth...but because of the suffering, I've only had it three times in my life (I'm 41).
Do I think it should be banned? With a tear in my eye, I say yes. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices to end suffering in the world. We can't always have what we want. Sometimes we have to give things up. I love cocaine, but I haven't done it in 20 years.

To compare overfed geese and slavery is rather asinine. I'm so tired of folks banning stuff, hey if you want to eat on a fatty goose liver knock yourself out. Give this ban a few years, folks will be so tired of all of the geese flying around, they'll wanna get rid of em all somehow. Hell, they're gonna overeat anyway....So what if you happen to come across a goose that just eats and eats, his liver will be engorged anyway. So is the ban against force feeding or greedy geese?

i read an article that it was more about the treatment of animals than the health of humans...so in that case if we are to ban it shouldn't we ban chicken, beef and so on. I think its so much of an unknown to most that its demand shouldn't eliminate their existence. o...and the article also said that restaurants were still serving it but you have to ask for it.

We got worse problems in this country than ducks getting force fed.

I don't know about you, but I'm not worried. If you have enough money you can have anything... Except a decent potato chip once they take all the saturated fats away from us.

It is a cruel / evil practice that has been going on for far too long.
How long did human slavery exist before civilized man put an end to it ?....And it is still going on in uncivilized Africa....

I think it's stupid that people are forgetting that humans are the absolute predator. There is nothing on Earth that we should not be able to eat. Besides that, God put animals here for the benefit of man. If you want to eat that nasty crap go for it.
