It's usually over stupid things, mostly jokes being blown out of proportion. She's usually the one that gets mad, and I'm just sitting there wondering what is going on (but I'm the one getting mad sometimes). Is there anything wrong with us?

absolutely nothing wrong. as odd as it seems, she may just be looking for an excuse to stay on the phone longer with you. she may start a fight or argument to get reassurance from you before you let her go....

it's a wierd way of being a positive thing....

good luck ;)

if they really are just little things and if you don't (either of you) get abusive, cruel etc and if you eventually make it up (even by just forgetting about it ), then I don't think it's a bad thing at all. Firstly, the relationship is strong enough to withstand this sort of thing surely and secondly, you each must feel secure enough apparently not to have to go "tip toeing" around each other. I also think - and I'm no psych, this is just my theory - maybe it's a way of almost 'testing" your relationship ? Maybe it's a way you are unconsciously breaking some of the tension in a relationship that is quite close ? I really don't think it is anything to be concerned about as long as it is just spats and tiffs. Ever watch the way other animal species romp and tease and pretend fight ? No artifice or keeping up a "romantic" front there, just good solid give and take, real, spontaneous relationships. Just keep it surface stuff, don't let it descend to a real row, stick with it - sounds like a pretty good authentic relationship to me !

I don't believe I can say something's necessarily wrong.. but something's not right for sure.

Just next time you feel an argument coming on think of something to say that will nullify any dislike towards you. Appease her. Tell her a compliment. If she gets into an argument with you anyway, then you know that it's definitely her problem. She may be trying to tell you something.

Good luck.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I used to do that to my boyfriend, too. It wasn't really because I wanted to argue with him--it was because I didn't want to get off the phone because I didn't want to let him go.

I realize how idiotic that is, but sometimes we girls don't think too straight when we're in love. That could be her problem, too.
