STEP 1: Blot the stain with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol), using a clean, white cloth.
STEP 2: Treat natural fibers such as wool or cotton with a solvent such as lighter fluid, turpentine or mineral spirits; again, use a clean, white cloth.
STEP 3: Alternatively, treat synthetic fibers with hydrogen peroxide, using a clean, white cloth.
STEP 4: If the stain persists, bring on the bleach. If a dilute solution of all-fabric bleach doesn't work, soak the garment in a a solution chlorine bleach in water, following directions on the bleach bottle. Note that this step could ruin your clothes; test a small, hidden area for bleach tolerance.
STEP 5: Or, try a color remover, following directions on the box. Color remover will take out the fabric color as well as the stain, so you will have to re-dye your garment.

No amount of bleach or Oxi Clean is going to take it out. They are ruined. She needs to rinse her hair more thoroughly to get the excess dye out. I never get dye on my sheets or pillowcases.

Try gentle soap and soaking overnight with water first. If this helps some, repeating a couple times may get it. If it does little or nothing, try this: blot a bit with alcohol, then use lighter fluid or turpentine. You should use something white to blot with, you don't want to mix any new dyes on your sheets. If this doesn't work, use color remover and re-dye the fabric to its original color.

If I were you, I would call a cleaning service. I doubt the dye will come out because I have cotton towels with dye on them, and it never came out.

Try La's Totallly Awesome. It should work. It removes blood, glue, wine, etc. It can be found in some dollar stores(at least in my city) and is an advertisement from As Seen On TV. So you may have to order it. If not, try Orange. Both are all purpose cleaners-so you may want to try one.

If you catch it while it's fresh and haven't washed it yet..... you can use some hairspray on it! I'm a hairdresser and i spray my clothes with hairspray when i get color on them and then wash them! It depends on how dark a color it is, but it can lighten it enough to where it will fade faster! I don't understand how she's getting color on your pillow, but you might suggest she blow dry her hair before getting into bed, if that's the problem!
