Hello, I'm a black american man and I plan on travelling to europe in about a year and I was wondering if I would have any problems meeting women there. Now don't get me wrong, that's not the only reason i'm going and I do plan on enjoying the culture, the museums, the food, etc. but I'm a single guy and I was wondering how accessible the women were. I know every area is different so I would enjoy input from people all over europe. I plan on starting off in London, then going to Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Rome, Naples, and parts of Switzerland. Anyone have any answers for me?

I lived in Europe for 5 months and my girlfriend is European (German) but I'm not black. From my experiences in Amsterdam, Germany, Spain, Czech, and France, and just being in contact with the culture there, you might have your advantages and disadvantages with women as a black male.

First, there's not as many blacks in Europe so bi-racial couples and dating aren't as common or accepted as they are here. Especially in Eastern Europe, racism isn't very rare - but that's mostly in Eastern states like Hungary and Bulgaria.

Then again, being black might be an advantage for the same reason - that is, because it is uncommon in Europe. Also, blacks are a large part of European's impressions on Americans (hiphop, athletics, etc) so it might be an advantage.

European chicks are usually a little more high-class, fashionable, and educated than American chicks, so if you can appeal to that you shouldn't have any problems. And if that doesn't work, prostitution is legal in many places so there's always a backup - j/k.

Anyways, have fun and be sure to check out Prague - it's the capital of the Czech Republic and an awesome town. I liked it almost more than Amsterdam - great food, jazz on the streets, hot girls, and all the architecture is original because Prague was never attacked in either World War.

Well, it could be a bit difficult - depending on the places you go.

At least here in Switzerland, most black men walking around are refugees from Africa - and Swiss women usually do not want to have anything to do with them.

But in case you find some decent bar or disco, it should be a lot easier as such refugees don't have the money to really go out. As really many woman speak English, you should get into contact easily, specially in the biggest towns. Good luck!

I hear that black guys are huge in Europe. It was some article on ESPN like Stuart Scott or someone was constantly hounded for autographs and people didn't even know who he was. Have fun.
