It's probably hormone related. Are you 11-16ish?? If so your body is growing and adapting. Puberty takes a lot of energy, especially for females. I've read that girls in their teens require 9 - 12 hours of sleep a day. The reason you're not sleeping at night is also hormones. From 8 pm to about 2 am is when sex hormones are most active, causing you to be aroused (mentally and physically) which manifests itself in you being wide awake. Also, not sleeping at night is contributing to you not being able to stay awake during the day.

It could be an illness or even your diet or it could be nothing. I recommend you see a doctor right away to rule out anything life threatening. Things could continue to get worse if you ignore the warning signs.

The only real way to know is to have your doctor do a blood test. Meanwhile, try to avoid stress if you're having any.

Bingo! You answered your own question. The reason for your exhaustion is that you don't do anything physical.
